Information for Bands and Callers

We dance the first and third Friday of most months.   We have a very enthusiastic, cross-generational group.  We almost always have newbies show up and have a solid core of experienced and gracious dancers who welcome them and help them out.   You will be appreciated and, I am confident we will all have fun!

We pay $80 per band member up to a maximum of $320 for the band.  We pay an additional $80 to the caller.  If you drive for more than two an hours to reach us, we will pay an additional $5 per hour per vehicle round trip for the drive.  (Please carpool!)

Let us know in advance your drive time; using Mapquest for the travel time works well.

If you need assistance with lodging, let Ann Birdseye know (see contact details below).

Our sound tech, Thayer Boling, arrives at 6:30 to open up the venue and set up the band and caller.
The dance begins at 7:30 with a beginners' walk-through and ends at 10:30.

Dance location:
Felix C. Davis Community Center
4800 Park Circle, North Charleston, SC  29405

Take the N. Rhett Ave exit, Exit 19. Turn right onto N Rhett Ave.
N. Rhett Ave will come to Park Circle in less than one mile.
